Meridian advised the shareholders of Wessex Fertility Limited (“Wessex”) on the sale of their business to Academic Reproductive Partnership (“ARP”), a Private Equity backed fertility services group. The transaction sees Wessex provided with support to continue their growth in the region whilst providing the ARP group with a presence in the Solent area.
The ARP group now includes more than 10 member clinics with a combined output of c6,000 assisted conception cycles per annum. The partnership allows the clinics to share practices and data to ensure that patients receive the most up to date and effective treatments available.
Since 2008 Wessex has seen year on year growth in both the number of cycles completed and the success rates achieved and the partnership with ARP offers the business an opportunity to continue this growth whilst maintaining best industry practices and procedures.
