Meridian advised the shareholders of Southampton based Zenergi Ltd, a provider of energy brokerage and administration services for the private and public sector on a refinance from NatWest.
Having previously led Zenergi through a management buy-out in 2013, Meridian are a shareholder and both Michael Barcia and Darren Thompson (directors for Meridian) have a seat as Board members working closely with the shareholders to provide direction to the business.
Both Michael and Darren advise management on an on-going basis and jointly led the transaction to secure a debt package from RBS, Southampton to pursue their growth strategy. Since the original investment in 2013, Zenergi has seen its enterprise value increase by more than five times.
