Meridian Corporate Finance LLP (“Meridian”) assisted Control Circle Limited (“Control Circle”) to raise an undisclosed amount of development capital.
Based in the UK, with operations in Europe, Asia and USA, Control Circle is a global leader in the design, implementation and 24/7 outsourced management of complex IT infrastructures, where availability is vital. Their customers are a mix of blue chip corporations and some of the UK’s largest on-line businesses.
The business is ideally placed to take advantage of the growing trend for businesses to outsource their IT infrastructure hosting and management, due to the ever greater costs and complexity of operating these systems.
The capital raise will allow Control Circle to commercially launch new product ideas that have been developed and to expand into more global territories.
Simon Hancock, Director of Control Circle comments, “Meridian were recommended to us as a corporate finance boutique with a particular specialism in understanding technology businesses and excellent contacts with the venture capital community. It certainly helped us having an ex-VC on our team in the form of Darren! We were certainly able to gain access to a number of highly credible potential investors in a relatively short space of time with the minimum of disruption to the business.
Their advice and contacts were a vital ingredient in our decision making process to go ahead with our investor Scottish Equity Partners and the Meridian team were fully available to answer any questions and provide support/ introductions to other skilled experts where necessary”.
Darren Thompson, Director of Meridian comments, “Control Circle have a great client base and are rolling out their services on a global basis. It was fantastic to conclude a transaction with SEP who are a highly credible long term investor in this space and are well placed to assist in the execution of this strategy“.
